Recent regulatory changes in some regions may mean that the distillation and rectification sector will have to stop, or at least reduce, the use of vinasse and other waste as an organic amendment in agriculture, forcing the industry to have adequate treatment of this waste.
Therefore, SITRA will dedicate the first webinar of the year, “Anaerobic Treatments in the Distillery Sector”, to analyzing the possible technologies that allow biogas to be generated through anaerobic treatmentswhether from wastewater or vinasse and other by-products, as well as to examine the possible uses derived from the biogas generated.
The event will take place next Wednesday the 20th, from 13:30 to 14:30 pm, and can be followed free of charge, as with the previous webinars that have been organized since last May.
On this occasion, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to and exchange knowledge and learning on the subject with Rodrigo Duque, head of the Engineering and Projects department at SITRA and with more than 15 years of experience in the integrated water cycle sector and, specifically, in the design and development of different drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities, with a wide range of technologies.
