The Renewable Gas Show is one of the unmissable events for the bioenergy sector.
At SITRA we have been present since its inception, and in 2026 we will not miss the appointment, because we will present very interesting new developments in advanced water treatment for the generation of renewable gases.
What is the Renewable Gas Show?
Organized by the Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM), with the collaboration of the Spanish Biogas Association (AEBIG) as a technical partner, the Renewable Gas Show is the main professional event in Spain, Portugal and Latin America dedicated to renewable gases , such as biogas, biomethane and other gases of renewable origin.
This event is held annually at the Valladolid Fair , and has established itself as an essential platform to promote the energy transition towards more sustainable energy sources, fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors and encouraging the development of innovative projects in the field of renewable gases.
In fact, in 2026 it broke all participation records with more than 3.900 accredited professionals and 270 exhibiting companies from 19 countries . Figures that they expect to continue surpassing each year thanks to the growing interest in the defossilization of Spain's energy sector.
New features of the sixth edition
During September 29 and 30 , the 6th Renewable Gas Exhibition and the 19th International Bioenergy Congress at the Valladolid Fair will bring together the entire ecosystem of the sector under the slogan "Renewable Gases: Local energy for a more sustainable, competitive and resilient economy".
The meeting will delve into how biogas, biomethane and new renewable alternatives drive industrial decarbonization , optimize waste treatment and revitalize the rural environment.
Without a doubt, this year's event is consolidating its position as the main technical and business meeting point to accelerate competitiveness, technological innovation and industrial development in the sector on the Iberian Peninsula.
SITRA's technology and innovation that you can find in the showroom
As we previously announced, we will be back at the Valladolid Renewable Gas Exhibition this year to showcase our innovative model applied to bioenergy projects . This unique approach integrates applied research, technological validation, digitalization, and operational experience to maximize the performance of the facilities.
In this edition you will discover everything from how we started the process in our own laboratories —through BMP trials and our "Testing Lab"— to validation milestones in real environments such as the SERENA project , focused on the anaerobic digestion of complex waste such as pig slurry and olive mill wastewater.
In addition, we will have an interactive area at the stand where you can view real operating data through WIM , the digital plant monitoring and management platform developed by SITRA, as well as our solutions for the separation and valorization of digestate.
If you would like to learn more, please book an appointment with us on this page and we will assist you personally during the event.
