Over the past few months, Sitra has participated in three important forums where it has presented its water treatment technologies and services for the food industry and the development of comprehensive renewable gas projects.
The first of these was the V International Technical Seminar: Water Management in the Agri-food Industries, held on September 22nd by AINIA, the leading private technological institute in the agri-food sector, with more than 700 associated companies and a presence in other strategic sectors of our economy such as chemical, pharmaceutical, packaging and containers or cosmetics.
During the event, the fourth consecutive edition in which the company SITRA presented its technologies to more than 130 attendees from the industrial sector.
The second stop was at the second edition of the Renewable Gas Exhibition, organized by the Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM) and the Spanish Biogas Association (AEBIG) at Feria Valladolid. It exceeded all expectations by bringing together nearly 2.000 professional visitors and 111 exhibiting companies, who had the opportunity to showcase the latest technology, knowledge, and resources to accelerate the successful implementation of biogas, biomethane, and other renewable gas projects in Spain.
SITRA, along with BIOVIC, the Grupo Gimeno company specializing in the study and construction of biogas and renewable gas plants (upgrading), attended this event as an exhibiting company. At their joint stand, they showcased the latest technologies and solutions in the fields of biogas, biomethane, and green hydrogen. These services were presented firsthand to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Sara Aagesen; the President of the Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM), Javier Díaz; the Minister of Development and Environment of the Regional Government of Castile and León, Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones; and other dignitaries.
In addition to these forums, the company participated in the Innotransfer event, to analyze together with other agents from the Valencian Community the challenges and possible solutions to the challenge of water efficiency in the agri-food sector, as well as in the Innovation Dissemination Day in the Agricultural Cooperative Sector in Castilla-La Mancha (DICA), dedicated in this case to oil, wine, almonds and pistachios, and organized by SOLAGRO, a leading food engineering company in Castilla-La Mancha in the cooperative sector, held in Toledo on October 26.
By participating in these forums and conferences, Sitra aims to continue supporting research and knowledge transfer, and to strengthen its presence in the agri-food and waste valorization sector, sharing knowledge, technology and successful case studies already implemented.
