AVALEM JOVES, which subsidizes the hiring of qualified young people registered in the National Youth Guarantee System for two years, arose from the need to help young people access the labor market so they have the opportunity to develop their life plans. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the Valencian Community had an unemployment rate of 29,30% among young people under 30, making it essential to find a solution.
The comprehensive plan, which will run from 2021 to 2024, has a total budget of €296 million, divided into three key areas of action: career guidance (€13 million), training and skills development (€60 million), and youth employment promotion (€223 million). It is expected that AVALEM JOVES will help approximately 70.000 participants secure employment contracts; 60.000 through career guidance; 6.000 through training programs; and 4.000 with direct hiring subsidies or other measures to promote employment.
This action, with file number ECOGJU/2023/912/12, is eligible to be co-financed by the European Union through the Comunitat Valenciana European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) Program 2021-2027 or any other European Union fund.
